A copyright gives the creator the exclusive right to reproduce, distribute, perform, display or license his/her work. It also grants to the creator the exclusive right to produce or license derivatives of his/her work.
So Your Copyrights Have Been Violated, Now What?
A human's right to profit from his/her own work is something the authors of our Constitution felt very strongly about. That's why copyrights (a creators exclusive rights) are outlined in the Constitution itself. For those who slept through high school civics class this means any violation of copyrights is a federal offense and is the jurisdiction of the Federal Bureau of Investigations. If your Constitutional right to profit from your own labor has been violated contact them!
